Traveling to San Sebastian

Donostia-San Sebastián can be reached by Train, Bus and Airplane.

The bus and train station is very close to the city center and connects the city with the northern half of Spain and France.

If you travel by plane you can fly directly to San Sebastian airport (EAS) and then reach the city center with a regular urban bus, buying the ticket directly from the bus driver (line E21).

Alternatively, you can fly to Bilbao airport (BIO) which is directly connected by bus to the city center. Tickets can be bought online or at the automatic machines at the airport/bus station. Buses depart every hour to and from the airport (time schedule).

Please note that the registration fee does not include accommodation. While the city is used to accomodate a lot of visitors, September is still high-season and it might be wise to search and secure the accomodation in advance. We strongly recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible. The summer season is very busy and hotels fill up quickly.

Donostia offers a great variety of different kinds of accommodation, ranging from 5-star hotels to hostels and flats. In order to make it easier for you to find the accommodation that better suits your needs, we suggest that you visit the website of the Tourism Office. You can make your own reservation directly at the selected place.

In addition, you can find suitable accomodation through well known channels (such as Booking or AirBnB) or contact local student residences.

Residences for students

We have blocked a limited number of shared rooms at Olarain Residence, which can be accessed through the registration platform (once it is available). In the registration process, once you click on the option, you will receive an email and a code to contact the residence directly and manage your own accommodation. These rooms are meant only for students.

Other residences you might be interested to contact are La Salle or Residencia Universitaria Manuel Agud Querol.
